There is no Amer center main branch in Dubai. Amer is not one company with a head office. Each of the 85 Amer centers on GDRFA's list is a separate private business holding its own GDRFA licence. When people search for the "Amer centre Dubai main branch", they nearly always mean GDRFA Head Quarters in Al Jafiliya, behind Jafiliya Police Station in Bur Dubai. That is GDRFA's own office, not an Amer center.
Hours as GDRFA lists them
Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 19:00. Friday 07:30 to 12:00, then 14:30 to 19:00. In Ramadan the head office works 09:00 to 17:00, and on Friday 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. The list gives no Saturday or Sunday hours, so don't plan a weekend visit.
When the head office is the right stop
Go here when an Amer counter has told you it cannot complete your file, or when GDRFA has asked you to come in person. That is the job GDRFA's customer happiness centers are for. Bring the receipt or application number from the Amer center so the staff can find the file.
For an ordinary renewal, cancellation or entry permit, start at an Amer center. The file reaches the same GDRFA system, and you avoid a trip that may end with being sent back to a private counter. The closest Amer center is in the same district: Quality General Services.
The Karama mistake
Some private guides on the internet say the Amer main branch is in Karama. It isn't. Al Karama Government Transactions is an ordinary Amer licence holder in Al Karama, one of many. Our Karama page lists it with the other counters there.
GDRFA's other offices
GDRFA runs eight more customer happiness centers in Dubai: the Al Twar section, the Al Manara section on Sheikh Zayed Road, the DIFC section, the Dubai Airport Free Zone section, Al Awir, Lisaili, Hatta, and the Airport Services Center at Terminal 3, which is the only one open 24/7.
