DubaiTypingCenters.com keeps browser storage to a minimum. There is no cookie banner on this site: the measurement below runs for every visitor, with Google ad personalisation switched off. Here is everything the site stores, and how to stop it.
Session storage set by the site
When you open a page, the site script creates a random visit reference and keeps it in your browser's session storage, together with the page you landed on. It lets the site connect a request you send to the guide you were reading, and count page views without knowing who you are.
Session storage is not a cookie and is not sent with every page request. It is cleared when you close the browser tab or window.
A setting for the site team
The site can also keep one item in local storage that switches measurement off in that browser. It is only set when someone opens the site with a special address used by the site team, so their own visits are not counted. Ordinary visitors never get it.
Google Analytics
If Google Analytics is switched on for this site, it loads only after the page has finished loading, when your browser is idle, so it does not slow down what you came to read. It sets Google's own cookies to tell repeat visits from new ones and measures which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and which pages lead to requests. Google ad personalisation is switched off.
If the site runs Google ads, the same Google tag records that a request form was sent after an ad click, so the site can tell which ads are worth paying for. To do that, Google sets its own conversion cookie, such as _gcl_au, in your browser. That is an advertising measurement cookie set by Google, a third party.
What is not measured
Crawlers, monitoring tools and other automated browsers are not measured at all. The site has no social media pixels and no chat widget. The only advertising cookie is the Google conversion cookie described above, and only when Google ads run.
Why there is no banner
The site does not run personalised ads and stores nothing that identifies you by name. We chose to explain exactly what happens on this page instead of asking you to click through a banner on every visit.
How to block or clear it
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser has a setting to block cookies for one site or for all sites.
- Use private browsing. Session storage and cookies are cleared when you close the private window.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on for that purpose.
The site works the same way with all of this blocked. The guides, the calculators and the contact form do not need cookies.
For what happens to the details you send through the form, see the privacy policy.
