The Dubai visit visa price in GDRFA fees is AED 210 for a 30-day single-entry tourist visa and AED 315 for 60 days. Multiple entry costs AED 315 for 30 days and AED 525 for 60 days. Agencies add a service fee, so a 30-day visit visa through an online agency usually costs about AED 336 to AED 350. Relatives of Dubai residents can use the ICP visit visa instead.
Three kinds of visit visa
Which visa you need depends on who applies for you:
| Visa | Who applies | Stay |
|---|---|---|
| Tourist visa (GDRFA) | An accredited Dubai tourism establishment, such as a travel agency or hotel | 30 or 60 days, single or multiple entry |
| Visit visa for a relative or friend (ICP) | A UAE resident who sponsors you | 30, 60 or 90 days, extendable to 120 days in total |
| 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa (ICP) | You, with proof of funds | Up to 90 days per stay, 180 days a year |
Job seekers have their own visit visa with no sponsor: see the job seeker visa UAE page.
Whether you need a visa before flying at all depends on your passport. Some nationalities get a visa on arrival, and seven can use a US, UK or EU visa or residence for one: check yours on Dubai visa by nationality.
Tourist visa fees from GDRFA
| Tourist visa | Fee incl. VAT |
|---|---|
| 30 days, single entry | AED 210 |

The conditions are the same for all four: a passport valid for 6 months or more, an onward or return ticket and health insurance valid in the UAE. Citizens of Iraq, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan also send a national ID. GDRFA states 48 hours to process.
What agencies charge for a Dubai visit visa
Published prices of online visa agencies and Dubai travel agencies, checked :
| Visa | Usual agency price |
|---|---|
| 30 days, single entry | about AED 336 to AED 350 |
| 60 days, single entry | about AED 530 to AED 575 |
| 30 days, multiple entry | about AED 470 to AED 473 |
| 60 days, multiple entry | about AED 720 to AED 725 |
Some agencies show a "government fee" of about AED 252 to AED 265, which is higher than the AED 210 on the GDRFA page. The quotes do not say what that extra covers. One local advert asked AED 800 for a 30-day visa, and some agencies ask for a refundable deposit of up to AED 3,500. Ask what the deposit is for and when you get it back before you pay.
Family visit visa through ICP
If a relative or friend living in the UAE sponsors you, ICP issues the visit visa. The sponsor needs a minimum monthly income:
| Visitor | Sponsor's income |
|---|---|
| First-degree relatives, such as parents and children | AED 4,000 |
| Second or third-degree relatives | AED 8,000 |
| Friends | AED 15,000 |
ICP fees:
| ICP item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Application | AED 100 |
| Issuance, single entry | AED 100 per month |
| Issuance, multiple entry | AED 200 per month |
| Smart services | AED 100 |
| Guarantee, single entry (refundable) | AED 1,000 |
| Guarantee, multiple entry (refundable) | AED 2,000 |
| Deposit fee | AED 20 |

For a long stay, compare this with a residence visa. A parent coming for many months a year may be better on a family visa in Dubai.
Visit visa for Dubai for 3 months: the price
A GDRFA tourist visa stops at 60 days, so a 3-month visit means the ICP visit visa for 90 days, sponsored by a relative or friend who lives in the UAE. Using ICP's fees above:
| 90-day ICP visit visa | Single entry | Multiple entry |
|---|---|---|
| Issuance, 3 months | AED 300 | AED 600 |
| Application | AED 100 | AED 100 |
| Smart services | AED 100 | AED 100 |
| Deposit fee | AED 20 | AED 20 |
| Guarantee, refundable | AED 1,000 | AED 2,000 |

Without a sponsor in the UAE, the 5-year tourist visa below allows stays of up to 90 days, and a job seeker can stay up to 120 days on the job seeker visa. Once the visa is issued, our guide on how to check visit visa status online shows the entry deadline and the days you may stay.
The 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa
ICP's 5-year tourist visa costs AED 3,720 in total: application AED 100, issuance AED 500, smart services AED 100, a refundable guarantee of AED 3,000 and a AED 20 deposit fee. You need a bank balance of USD 4,000 over the last 6 months and UAE health insurance. Each stay is up to 90 days and can be extended, with a cap of 180 days a year counted from the first entry.
It suits people who visit Dubai several times a year. Most of the AED 3,720 is the guarantee, which comes back.
Overstays and extensions
There is no grace period stated on any official page we read for visit visas. Treat the last day as the last day. The fine is AED 50 for each extra day, and leaving after an overstay can also need a departure permit. The overstay fine in Dubai page has a calculator. GDRFA does offer an extension service for tourist visas; its fee is not confirmed here.
To see whether a visa was issued and when it expires, use the GDRFA status check: visa status check explains which details to enter.
Why visit visas get refused or delayed
- Passport too short. It must be valid for at least 6 months.
- No onward ticket. The tourist visa needs a return or onward booking.
- Wrong insurance. The policy must be valid in the UAE, not only at home.
- Missing national ID. Citizens of Iraq, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan must add it.
- Sponsor income too low. For an ICP visit visa the sponsor's income must meet the threshold for that relationship: AED 4,000, AED 8,000 or AED 15,000.
- Late entry. An ICP visit visa not used within 60 days of issue lapses.
From visit visa to residence
Visitors who find a job or join a family member do not need to leave. Once the new sponsor gets a residence entry permit, a status change moves you onto it. GDRFA's status amendment fee is AED 500 plus AED 10 and AED 10. The visa change in Dubai page has the steps, and the UAE visa page shows which residence visa fits.
Doing it yourself
A tourist gets the visa through an accredited Dubai tourism establishment, such as a hotel or travel agency. A resident sponsoring a relative can apply online or at an Amer center, which handles visit visas for Dubai residents, and the Amer visa application guide covers the counter route. You only need help when the case is unusual: a sponsor near the income limit, a passport from a country that needs extra documents, or a visitor already inside the UAE.
Arranging a visit visa for your guest
Tell us who is visiting, their nationality, how long they will stay and who sponsors them. Send the visitor's passport and photo, the return ticket and travel insurance, plus your residence and salary details if you sponsor a relative. The partner team suggests whether the GDRFA tourist visa or the ICP visit visa fits, then types and submits it; the government fee and any refundable guarantee appear as their own lines on your quote. Applications mostly fail on a passport with too little validity or the wrong sponsor category. They track the file until the e-visa is issued, and file an extension if one is needed. One total price is confirmed before filing, with the GDRFA or ICP fees and the service charge on separate lines.
