A Tawjeeh center is a guidance center approved by MOHRE, the UAE labour ministry. Its sessions brief workers and employers on their rights and duties and explain the employment contract. MOHRE's employment contract service says workers at skill levels 5 to 9 attend a guidance workshop when their contract is issued or renewed, and contracts for levels 6 to 9 are delivered at workers' awareness centers. In Dubai, 8 of the 90 centers on MOHRE's business services and guidance list carry guidance, Tawjeeh or Tathqeef in their name, and MOHRE publishes no address for any of them, so a map search rarely finds one. The steps below explain how to reach one.

We class a center as Tawjeeh when its name or email says guidance, Tawjeeh or Tathqeef. Plenty of the other 82 centers on the same list also offer guidance services, so a Tasheel center near you may be able to help too.

Two groups also run other licences in Dubai. The Tathqeef group has an Amer center in Al Quoz. Quality Government Services has an Amer center in Dubai Investments Park. Asking at those Amer centers is one practical way to find the guidance branch.

How to reach a Tawjeeh center with no address

  1. Open the MOHRE business services and guidance centers search.
  2. Search by the center's name from the table above.
  3. Open its detail page. MOHRE shows a facility number, a phone number and an email for nearly every center.
  4. Call or write to ask for the address and the session times. MOHRE publishes no hours for these centers.
  5. Search the company name in Google Maps once you have the address.

What a Tawjeeh session covers

Based on MOHRE's own description, a guidance session covers:

  • Your rights and duties as a worker, or as an employer
  • What your employment contract says and how it works
  • The rules MOHRE applies to private sector employment

MOHRE does not publish a session length or a fee on its center pages. Anyone quoting a fixed fee should show you where it comes from.

What to bring

Bring your passport, Emirates ID if you have one, and the employment contract or offer your employer gave you. If your employer has sent you, ask for the MOHRE transaction number so the center can find your file. Keep any certificate or receipt you are given until the contract shows as issued on MOHRE's inquiry service.
