Naif is where typing shops stand closest together: our directory lists 135 typing centers and document clearing offices there. Only one is licensed by GDRFA for visa work, Quick Stop Government Transactions Center on Al Maktoum Hospital Road. The other 134 are private shops, 85 typing offices and 49 clearing offices, and 91 of them publish a closing time of 22:00 or later.
What the 135 Naif rows are
| Kind | Rows | Where the row comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Amer center | 1 | GDRFA list of Amer centers |
| Private typing office | 85 | HiDubai business directory |
| Private document clearing office | 49 | HiDubai business directory |
HiDubai is the public business directory of Dubai Economy and Tourism. It does not show when a listing was last updated, so some shops may have moved or closed. We checked every row in . Most Naif addresses are a numbered street (12B Street, 37B Street, 19B Street) plus a building name, so search the building name in Google Maps rather than the street.
Naif works in two shifts
78 of the 134 shops publish a split day: a morning shift, a break of two or three hours, then an evening shift. Multicolour Typing and Photocopying Office, for example, lists 09:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 22:00. If you arrive at 14:30, expect a lot of closed shutters.
The evening is when Naif is busiest, and 27 shops list 23:00 or later on at least one day. Faisal Mohammad Documents Clearing Services (Khalifa Lootah Building, 37B Street) and Amana Typing and Translation (Ahmad Plaza) list 23:00, Monday to Saturday. Modern Typing on 12 B Street stays to 23:00 on Saturdays. Sunday is the weak day: only 26 listings show Sunday hours at all.
Quick Stop's hours are not on the GDRFA list, so do not plan a late visa visit around it.
What a Naif shop can and cannot do
A private typing office fills in forms for departments that let it: Emirates ID applications, medical fitness applications, letters, contracts, photocopies. A few, such as Al Hikma Document Clearing and Translation and Amana, also list translation. A clearing office goes a step further and runs your papers from counter to counter for you.
What neither can do is submit a Dubai visa application. Dubai visa files go only through Amer centers or GDRFA (the about page has the history). A shop that accepts your entry permit or renewal papers will pass them to an Amer center, so ask which one. Watch the names too: Amer Obaid Documents Clearing Services in the Naif Mall Building has the word Amer in its name but is not on GDRFA's list. Our guide to what typing centers do covers the full split.
When to skip the shops
For an entry permit, renewal, cancellation or status change, go to Quick Stop or one of the other 17 Amer centers on our Deira Amer center page. If you need a counter at night, the 24 hour Amer center guide has the one in Al Khabaisi. A file that an Amer counter cannot resolve goes to GDRFA's head office in Al Jafiliya, on the Bur Dubai page.
A renewal does not need a counter at all: GDRFA's website and app take it around the clock with UAE Pass, as our visa renewal page explains, and you can follow it with the visa status check. Neighbouring shop clusters have their own lists: Al Murar and Al Rigga.
What the counters charge
Budget the government fee plus the counter's charge. Published price lists, checked , show about AED 100 to 300 per Amer transaction and AED 40 to 200 per typed form; Tasheel commission is capped by MOHRE at AED 72 per service. Ask for the two amounts as separate lines.
