Al Muraqqabat and Al Muteena have more licensed counters per listing than any other Deira neighbourhood we cover: 6 of the 67 typing rows are licensed, 4 Amer centers on the GDRFA list and 2 Tasheel centers on the MOHRE list. The other 61 are private shops, 38 of them clearing offices. Most close by 21:00, and only 3 publish a closing time of 22:00 or later.
The six licensed centers
| Center | Licence | Address as published |
|---|---|---|
| Good Hand Government Transactions L.L.C | Amer | Ground Floor, Saraya Plaza, Al Rigga Road |
| The Creek Government Transactions | Amer | Deira, Al Muraqqabat |
| Best Tawasol Government Services | Amer | Deira, Al Muraqqabat Street |
| Golden Way Covernmaemt Transactions | Amer | Deira, Al Muteena |
| Twasol Business Men Services L.L.C | Tasheel | Deira, Al Muraqabat |
| Premium Businessmen Services L.L.C | Tasheel | Diera, Al Mutaina |
Spellings are GDRFA's and MOHRE's, typos included. Source: both lists, checked . None of the six has published hours on its list.
Lookalike names in the directories
This is the neighbourhood where checking the name matters most. HiDubai lists three businesses called "Tasheel": one on Al Rigga Road, one on the mezzanine floor on Al Muraqqabat Road under the longer name Almuraqqbat Center For Business Men and Women Services, and one on Al Mateena Street. MOHRE's list has none of those names. HiDubai also lists "Amer (Good Hand Government Transactions)" in the Ramee Guest Line Deira Hotel Building on Al Rigga Road, which is not the Saraya Plaza address GDRFA gives for Good Hand.
These may be trade names, older addresses or separate businesses. We could not tell, so we list them as private shops. Before you hand over a passport, ask which licence the counter files under, and match it against the six names above.
Daytime hours
Private shops here keep shorter days than in Naif or Al Murar. Of 61 listings with hours, 3 reach 22:00: Dar Al Hai Typing Services in Al Muteena (07:00 to 23:00, Monday to Saturday), Alnamy Documents Clearing Services on Al Muteena Street and Decanus Documents Clearing Services on Salah al din Road, which lists 09:00 to 22:00 every day. 7 shops show Sunday hours. The rows come from HiDubai, which shows no update date, so a listing may be stale.
One district for a cancellation
A private shop can type and print the forms, but it cannot cancel a Dubai visa. For a private-sector employee, the order is the MOHRE work permit cancellation first, which is Tasheel work, then the GDRFA residence cancellation at an Amer center or online. GDRFA's service page gives 48 hours for the cancellation. Both steps can be done within this neighbourhood. The visa cancellation page covers the grace period, and the Amer services guide lists what each transaction needs. For the labour side, see the Tasheel guide.
What the counters charge
In Al Muraqqabat, as elsewhere in Dubai, the counter's own charge sits on top of the government fee: about AED 100 to 300 per transaction at an Amer center and AED 40 to 200 per form at a typing shop, going by published price lists checked . MOHRE caps a Tasheel center's commission at AED 72 per service.
