There is one Amer center in Dubai Marina: Al Tawheed Government Services L.L.C, listed by GDRFA with hours of Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 20:00 and closed on Sunday. The GDRFA address only says "Marina", so open the map link before you go. A second Marina listing, Atiq Almazroui Documents Clearing Services in Time Place Tower, is a private typing office. This page lists 14 places across the Marina, JLT and the Sufouh business parks.
What the Marina and JLT have
| Place | Licensed | Private typing and clearing |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Marina | 1 Amer (Al Tawheed) | 1 (Atiq Almazroui) |
| JLT, The Greens, Emirates Hills | 1 Tadbeer (Vicekeeper) | 5, plus a Fixit branch in Almas Tower |
| Media City, Internet City, Knowledge Village | 0 | 4, plus a Fixit branch in Knowledge Village |
So 2 of the 14 are on an official list. The rest prepare papers and type forms, and several (Compton, Domain, KMN) describe themselves as conveyancing offices, which points to property work rather than visas.
What to take where
Your own residence visa renewal or a spouse's entry permit fits Al Tawheed. A maid or nanny hire starts at a Tadbeer center, and Vicekeeper in Al Thanyah 1 is the one next to JLT. A work permit for staff is MOHRE business, and there is no Tasheel counter on this side of town: the nearest listed ones are in Al Quoz.
A lot of this is online now
GDRFA lets you renew a Dubai residence visa on its website or app with UAE Pass, open at any hour, with 48 hours stated for processing. You can check where an application stands on the visa status check page before calling anyone. Maid permits run through MOHRE's website and app too. The parts you cannot do from the sofa are the medical test and Emirates ID biometrics. Those, plus the paperwork around them, are what our partner team takes on: see visa renewal in Dubai and maid visa in Dubai.
When the Marina counter is not enough
For a larger choice, Al Barsha has 2 Amer centers, one inside Al Barsha Mall, plus an Ejari trustee center. Our JLT typing center page covers the towers there in detail, and the Jebel Ali page covers the area further west. Search each name in Google Maps from your own address and pick the one you can actually reach.
