Tawar Center Section is a GDRFA customer happiness center, run by GDRFA itself, in the Al Tawar Municipality New Building in Al Tawar 2. It keeps GDRFA's standard hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 19:00, and Friday 07:30 to 12:00 plus 14:30 to 19:00. During Ramadan it opens 09:00 to 17:00, with a Friday break between 12:00 and 14:00. No weekend hours are listed.
GDRFA office, not an Amer center
This is the government side, not a private Amer center. Amer centers are private companies with a GDRFA licence that type and submit everyday files. GDRFA's own sections deal with residency matters and with the cases an Amer counter has said it is unable to complete. If your job is a plain renewal or a new entry permit, an Amer center will usually be quicker for you.
Amer counters in Al Twar
GDRFA lists two Amer centers in the area. Altwar Government Service Center belongs to the Al Burj Holding group, which also runs Tassheel Business Center and Al Tabu trustee offices. Al Hijrah Businessmen Services branch is listed in Al Twar 1. GDRFA publishes no hours for either. Two other offices with similar names
A second GDRFA counter is also in Al Tawar 2: the Free Zone Section, listed at Dubai Airport Free Zone. It is a separate section with its own address.
The RTA has a customer happiness center in Al Twar too. That one handles vehicles and driving licences, not visas, so check which authority your appointment is with.
Nearby areas
Having two GDRFA offices in one district is unusual. Most Dubai areas have none, and GDRFA lists only 9 customer happiness centers across the whole emirate.
