The Amer center in Karama you are looking for is one of four: GDRFA's official list names Uid Smart Services, Al Nazih Government Services, Bak Nova Government Transactions Center and Al Karama Government Transactions, all inside Al Karama. Two Tasheel centers and two Tadbeer centers complete the area, which makes 8 licensed service points in a small grid of streets.

The four Amer counters
All four are private companies licensed by GDRFA, so they handle the same set of Dubai residency jobs. Uid Smart Services belongs to the UID group, which also holds a Tasheel licence elsewhere in Dubai. The other three are single licences with no second Dubai branch on the official lists.
One naming trap: Al Karama Government Transactions appears twice on the GDRFA list. The Karama entry is in the Al Karama area. The second sits at Terminal 3 Arrivals and is filed under Al Garhoud, covered on the Garhoud and Terminal 3 page. Read the address line in the list above before you set off.
Tasheel and Tadbeer in Karama
Al Malomat Center (branch) is the Karama outlet of the Al Malomat group, whose main Tasheel counter is in Al Mankhool. M A F Government Transactions Center LLC is one of the few MOHRE entries with a full address: Zabeel Plaza building, shops 6 and 7. MAF runs four licences across Dubai, including a Tadbeer center in Al Mizhar.
For a maid or nanny, the two Karama Tadbeer centers are Madad Tadbeer Center and Derby Domestic Workers Services. Both are on MOHRE's domestic workers list, which is where a domestic worker visa starts. Read the maid visa guide for the sponsor salary rule first.
Timings, and how to work around missing hours
No official list gives hours for the four Karama Amer centers or the Tasheel counters, so none appear in the list. Three ways round it:
- Skip the counter for renewals. GDRFA's website and app take residence renewals around the clock with UAE Pass, and GDRFA states 48 hours.
- Use a center that publishes hours nearby. GDRFA's own sections keep fixed hours, Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 19:00 and Friday 07:30 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 19:00; GDRFA Head Quarters is next door in Al Jafiliya.
- Check the map listing. The Open in Google Maps link on each row often shows the shop's own posted hours. Treat them as a guide, not a promise.
MOHRE's 8 Tawjeeh centers in Dubai are listed without addresses, so none can be placed in Karama; the Tawjeeh center guide explains how to reach one.
What it costs and how to get there
Published price lists of Dubai typing centers, checked , put form typing at about AED 40 to 200 and the Amer service charge at about AED 100 to 300 per GDRFA transaction, with government fees on top. A Tasheel counter may add at most AED 72 per MOHRE service.
Karama's 96 private typing and clearing offices cluster on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road. Several give BurJuman or ADCB metro station as their landmark in the directory address, for example the shops in the Al Kazim Building near BurJuman. M A F Government Transactions, a Tasheel counter, is in Zabeel Plaza, shops 6 and 7. The private shops type forms but cannot file a visa, so ask which Amer center will submit yours.
When Karama is not enough
Some files need GDRFA itself, for example a file an Amer counter cannot finish.
