The nearest Amer counter for many Garhoud residents is at the airport: GDRFA lists an Amer counter, Al Karama Government Transactions, at Terminal 3 Arrivals, and its own Airport Services Center at Terminal 3, open 24/7. In Al Garhoud proper there are 2 more Amer centers, 1 Tasheel center and 4 Tadbeer centers. That makes 9 licensed points, and the one confirmed round-the-clock GDRFA counter in Dubai.
Terminal 3: two different counters
| Counter | Run by | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Airport Services Center | GDRFA itself | 24/7, as published by GDRFA |
| Al Karama Government Transactions, T3 Arrivals | Private Amer operator | Not published |

The Airport Services Center is one of GDRFA's 9 customer happiness centers and handles residency and visa work, including cases an Amer center cannot complete. Being 24/7, it is the GDRFA counter you can reach at night or on a Friday afternoon break. The Amer counter in Arrivals is a licensed private center. GDRFA gives no hours for it, so treat any late opening as unconfirmed and call first.
Do not confuse the Arrivals counter with the Amer center of the same name in Al Karama. They are two entries on the GDRFA list. The Karama one is on our Karama page.
For the other 24/7 option, the Amer 24/7 center in Al Khabaisi, see the 24 hour Amer center guide.
Overstay, visit visas and travel deadlines
Airport counters matter most when a stay is about to run out. Dubai's overstay fine is AED 50 per day for residence, visit and tourist visas, counted from the day after any grace period ends. GDRFA collects these fines online 24/7 and through Amer centers, with no service fee added to the fine. Before you head to Terminal 3, work out the amount on our overstay fine page, and check the visa's validity with the visa status check.
If a visitor's visa is the issue, GDRFA's 30-day single-entry tourist visa, applied for through an accredited Dubai tourism establishment, is AED 200 plus VAT, AED 210 in all. Our Dubai visit visa page covers the other durations and the relative or friend route.
Al Garhoud's own centers
Amer: Gfe Documents Services One Person Comapny L.L.C (filed under Bur Dubai, Al Garhoud) and Algarhoud Government Transactions Center (filed under Deira, Al Garhoud). GDRFA's old sector prefixes split the district, but both are in Al Garhoud.
Tasheel: Elite Bridge Businessmen Services, the only MOHRE business services center placed in the area.
Tadbeer: four domestic workers centers, more than the number of Amer centers in Al Garhoud town. They are References for Domestic Workers Services, Mermaid Domestic Workers Services Center, Ezee Workers Employment Services Center and Miss Helpers, listed on Airport Road. Start there for a maid visa or a nanny visa.
What the counters charge
Published price lists of Dubai typing centers, checked , put form typing at about AED 40 to 200 and the Amer service charge at about AED 100 to 300 per GDRFA transaction. Government fees come on top, and a Tasheel counter may add at most AED 72 per MOHRE service.
