  • Your residence visa or your family's (renewal, cancellation, status change, entry permit): any of the three Amer centers.
  • Talking to GDRFA staff directly: the DIFC customer happiness center, open Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 19:00, Friday 07:30 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 19:00.
  • Work permit, labor contract or labor card for a mainland company: Boulevard Businessmen Services is the only Tasheel counter in this group.

Most of the list is private offices

Of the 92 rows, 87 are private typing and document clearing offices, most of them on upper floors of towers such as Al Moosa Tower, Aspin Commercial Tower and Al Saqr Business Tower. They type forms and sort papers. They are not GDRFA-approved Amer counters, so the visa itself still has to go through one.

You may not need to go at all

A residence visa renewal can be filed on the GDRFA website or app at any hour with UAE Pass, and GDRFA states 48 hours for it. Family and maid files have more moving parts: a medical test, Emirates ID biometrics, attested certificates. That is where people in Downtown tend to hand the work over instead of queueing. Is there an Amer center in Downtown Dubai?

Not on the GDRFA list. The one Downtown entry in our data is Forever Rich Documents Clearing Services in 48 Burj Gate, a private clearing office. The nearest Amer centers are First Track and Alyalayis in Business Bay and High Level in One Central, Trade Centre.

Where is the GDRFA office near Downtown Dubai?

GDRFA lists a customer happiness center called Dubai International Financial on Sheikh Zayed Road in DIFC. It opens Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 19:00, and Friday 07:30 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 19:00.

Can a clearing office in a Sheikh Zayed Road tower apply for my visa?

It can prepare and type your papers, but private clearing offices are not on the GDRFA list of Amer centers. The application still goes through an Amer center, a GDRFA center or the GDRFA website and app.
