Bak Nova Government Transactions Center is a GDRFA-licensed Amer center in Al Karama. GDRFA's list gives the location as "Bur Dubai, Al Karama" and no hours, and we could not find a website for the operator. Confirm the unit on the map, or call, before you go.
A renewal at Bak Nova, in order
Most visits to a Karama Amer counter are for a residence renewal. The counter is one stop out of several:
- Medical fitness test at a medical center, not at the Amer counter. The normal test is AED 270 under Dubai Administrative Resolution No. 66 of 2021.
- Health insurance that covers the new visa period.
- The renewal application, typed and submitted at an Amer counter such as Bak Nova. For a private sector employee, GDRFA's page lists a renewal fee of AED 200, plus AED 10 Knowledge and AED 10 Innovation fees, and a 48-hour processing time.
- ICP biometrics, if ICP asks for them.

If the work permit also expires
The labor side of an employee's renewal is a MOHRE file, done at a business services center, not at Bak Nova. Al Malomat Center (branch) is on MOHRE's list with a Karama address (Al Malomat branch page). Employers often handle this half, so ask HR before you queue.
