Al Bada'a is a strip of small typing shops between Al Satwa Road and Al Wasl Road. Our directory lists 21 typing and clearing listings here: one Amer center licensed by GDRFA, the Fixit Governmnt Services Al Bada'a Branch, and 20 private shops (18 typing offices and 2 clearing offices). 12 of the private shops publish a closing time of 22:00 or later.
The one licensed counter
GDRFA lists Fixit Governmnt Services, Al Bada'a Branch as an Amer center, with the address "Amer Lounge Al Satwa, beside Bilal Mosque, Al Satwa (Al Bada'a)". The spelling of Governmnt is GDRFA's own. GDRFA publishes no opening hours for it, so check before you go. This is the counter for entry permits, residence visa renewals, cancellations and status changes in the area.

Satwa Road shops and their hours
Al Satwa Road is the address for 8 of the 20 private shops. The rest sit on numbered side streets such as 7D, 14A, 20A and 22A Street. All 20 private rows come from HiDubai, the Dubai Economy and Tourism business directory, which shows no update date. We checked them in , but a shop can move or close without the listing changing.

Al Talaqi is the early option. Several shops split the day, so a mid-afternoon visit can find shutters down: Noor Al Satwa Typing, for example, lists 08:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 22:00. Ignore odd short hours such as a two-hour day; those listings are probably stale.
What the private shops will do for you
A typing shop in Al Bada'a fills in forms that departments still accept from typists: Emirates ID applications, medical fitness forms, letters and photocopies. A clearing office such as T H L Documents Clearing on Al Wasl Road takes papers from counter to counter for you. Since neither can submit a Dubai visa file, which is why the Fixit branch matters. If a shop takes your visa papers, it hands them to an Amer center, so ask which one. Our typing center services guide sets out the split.
For an Emirates ID renewal, the shops can type the form, but biometrics happen at an ICP center.
