Al Baraha has 14 typing and clearing listings in our directory, and 13 of them are document clearing offices. There is one walk-in typing shop, Touseef Shaik Typing on 2 Street, and no licensed Amer, Tasheel or Tadbeer counter. Only 3 of the 14 are on a ground floor, so this is where you go to hand a file to a clearing agent, not to queue at a counter.
Where the offices are
Two roads hold nearly all of them. On 2 Street, the Bim Suloom building has Tercelpro and Najmat Al Waha, the Bin Fares building has Muhammad Sajid and Rowad Aljazera, and the Rashid Abdulla Al Noaimi and Bel Rasheed buildings have one each. On Omar Bin Al Khattab Road you find M S A, Khayrah, Falah Alkhair, Noor Abha and Khattab. HiDubai, the Dubai Economy and Tourism directory, uses Al Maya Supermarket as the landmark for several of them.
Hours are office hours. Most open between 08:00 and 10:00 and close between 17:00 and 20:00, Monday to Saturday. Khayrah Documents Clearing on Omar Bin Al Khattab Road is the late exception at 22:00. Al Najom Al Saida closes on Saturday, and Hassan Muhammad Documents Clearing lists only an hour on Friday evening and on Saturday morning, so check those two before you go. We checked all 14 rows in . HiDubai does not date its records, so some may be out of date.
What a clearing office is for
A document clearing office, often called a mandoob service, does the running around: it collects your papers, gets them typed, takes them to the counters that need them and follows up. That helps when one job touches several departments, for example a company that needs MOHRE, GDRFA and Dubai Economy and Tourism in the same week.
It is still a private business. The licensed steps happen elsewhere: a visa through an Amer center, a work permit through a Tasheel center, an Ejari through a Dubai Land Department trustee. Before you pay, ask the office which licensed counter it will use and what the government fees are on their own. For a counter you can walk up to yourself, the Deira page lists all 18 Amer centers in old Deira. Al Rigga has Amer and Ejari counters, and Al Ras and Ayal Nasir have more street-level typing shops.
