Indonesian citizens need a Dubai visa issued before they travel. Indonesia is on the UAE's visa required list, so travellers from Indonesia use a GDRFA tourist visa (AED 210 for 30 days) applied for by a Dubai tourism establishment, or a visit visa sponsored by a relative in the UAE. Indonesians living in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US, the UK or the EU can use ICP's newer 14 or 60-day visa.
The ICP route for Indonesians abroad
On ICP extended its visa for nationals residing abroad to Indonesia and five other nationalities. It suits Indonesians who work in Singapore, study in Australia or live in Japan or Korea.
What ICP's service page asks for:
- An ordinary Indonesian passport valid for at least 6 months.
- A valid visa or residence permit from the US, an EU state or the UK, or a valid residence permit from Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Singapore or New Zealand.
- A photo and a copy of that visa or residence card.
The 60-day visa costs AED 250 in issuance plus AED 100 for smart services, AED 350 in total. It is single entry, cannot be extended, and has to be used within 30 days of issue. ICP's announcement also lists a 14-day visa at AED 100, extendable once. Family members who travel with you can apply if they meet the same conditions. Source: ICP, checked .
From Indonesia: the tourist visa
Without a qualifying residence abroad, the GDRFA tourist visa is the route. A Dubai travel agency or hotel files it; you cannot apply to GDRFA directly as a tourist.
| Length | Single entry | Multiple entry |
|---|---|---|
| 30 days | AED 210 | AED 315 |
| 60 days | AED 315 | AED 525 |
Conditions are a passport with 6 months left, a return or onward ticket and UAE-valid health insurance. GDRFA states 48 hours. Online agencies usually charge about AED 336 to AED 350 for the 30-day visa, their fee included.
Umrah trips with a Dubai stop
Some travellers combine umrah with a stop in Dubai. The Saudi visa does not cover the UAE. If you leave the airport in Dubai, you need a UAE visa issued in advance, the same as any other tourist. Book the Dubai visa for the right dates on the way out or back.
Family in the UAE
An Indonesian visiting a husband, wife, parent or child who lives in the UAE can come on an ICP visit visa sponsored by them. ICP's minimum income is AED 4,000 a month for these first-degree relatives and AED 8,000 for second or third-degree relatives. The visit visa runs 30, 60 or 90 days.
Before you pay
- Check that your residence card abroad is valid for the whole trip.
- Do not plan to extend a 60-day ICP visa: it cannot be extended.
- Keep the return ticket; it is a condition of the tourist visa.
- Count the days. Overstaying costs AED 50 a day (overstay fine in Dubai).
Follow your application on the GDRFA tool explained on visa status check. Neighbouring passports: Malaysians enter visa free, Thai citizens follow the same ICP rules as Indonesians.
What we handle
Send the traveller's passport, where they live and the dates. The partner team chooses between the ICP visa and the GDRFA tourist visa, prepares the application, files it and sends you the e-visa. ICP's online system requires a UAE Pass login, which a visitor abroad usually does not have, so filing from Dubai saves you that problem. The quote is one total price with government fees and the service charge listed separately. Message us on WhatsApp or use the form.
All countries: Dubai visa by nationality.
