Bangladeshi citizens need a UAE visa issued before travel. Bangladesh is on the "visa required" list of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and there is no visa on arrival or residence-based shortcut for Bangladeshi passports. A Dubai visit visa comes through a UAE sponsor: a relative who lives in the UAE, or a licensed tourism establishment for a tourist visa.
What has changed for Bangladeshi visitors
Visa issuing for Bangladeshi nationals has not been steady. On the UAE ambassador to Bangladesh said the embassy in Dhaka had resumed visit visas and was issuing 30 to 50 a day, and that restrictions were expected to ease further over time (The Financial Express, ). Since then there have been further reports about limits on some visa categories, without a published UAE government statement that we could confirm.
What this means in practice: before anyone pays a fee or books a ticket, the sponsor or agency should confirm that the visa type is being accepted for Bangladeshi passports that week. A rejected application usually means the fee is lost.
Sponsored by family in the UAE
This is the strongest route for most Bangladeshi visitors. The UAE resident applies to ICP for a visit visa of 30, 60 or 90 days, extendable to 120 days in total. ICP's income rule for the sponsor:
| Relationship | Minimum monthly income |
|---|---|
| Wife, husband, parent or child | AED 4,000 |
| Brother, sister, cousin, uncle | AED 8,000 |
| Friend | AED 15,000 |
ICP fees are AED 100 application, AED 100 a month issuance for single entry (AED 200 for multiple), AED 100 smart services and a AED 20 deposit fee, plus a refundable guarantee of AED 1,000 or AED 2,000. Source: ICP visit visa service page, checked .
A wife joining a husband for the long term should not keep renewing visit visas. The spouse visa in Dubai and family visa in Dubai pages show the residence route, which needs an attested marriage certificate.
Tourist visa through an agency
A Dubai tourism establishment can apply for a GDRFA tourist visa: AED 210 for 30 days or AED 315 for 60 days, single entry. The conditions are a passport valid for 6 months, an onward ticket and UAE-valid health insurance. Agencies selling in Bangladesh charge more than the government fee; ask for the GDRFA amount on the invoice.
Bangladeshis working in the Gulf
If you live and work in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman or Bahrain, GDRFA has an entry visa for GCC residents. You need a valid GCC residence permit showing your profession, and the profession has to be on GDRFA's approved list. GDRFA states 48 hours and emails the visa.
Common reasons for refusal
- The category is not open for Bangladeshi passports at that moment.
- The sponsor's income is below the tier for the relationship.
- The passport has less than 6 months left.
- Previous overstay or absconding records in the UAE.
- A name spelled differently on the passport and on the sponsor's documents.
Once you are in Dubai
Follow your visa on GDRFA using the steps on visa status check. Leave on time: overstays cost AED 50 a day, and the overstay fine page shows how it adds up.
How the partner team helps
Before taking any fee, the partner team checks whether the category you need is currently accepted for Bangladeshi passports. If it is, they prepare the ICP or GDRFA application with the sponsor's salary documents and the visitor's passport, file it, and track it to issue. If it is not, you hear that before you pay, not after. You get one total price in advance, with government fees and the service charge split out. Message us on WhatsApp or send the form.
