A MOHRE enquiry is a free lookup on the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation page at inquiry.mohre.gov.ae. It lists 32 enquiries, including Application Status, Electronic Work Permit Information, the job offer enquiry and the attested employment contract. Pick the one that matches your question and enter the reference number it asks for. No login is needed to look things up.

DubaiTypingCenters.com is an independent guide, not MOHRE. We cannot see your record. This page tells you which enquiry to open and what a Tasheel center does when the lookup is not enough.

The enquiries people actually use

The page shows 32 names. Most visitors need one of these:

Your question Enquiry to open
My employer applied. Where is it? Application Status
Is my work permit issued and valid? Electronic Work Permit Information
I need a copy of my permit Print Electronic Work Permit
Is this job offer real? Job offer enquiry
What does my registered contract say? View the attested employment contract

Is my cancellation done? Cancellation transaction enquiry
Am I covered by worker insurance? Worker Insurance

For companies there are more: establishment data, electronic quota status by establishment number or by transaction number, trade licence enquiry, unpaid fees, card fines calculation and bank guarantee details. Our page on the company labour file explains what those records are.

MOHRE website, eServices and enquiry: the difference

People type all three and land in different places:

  • mohre.gov.ae is the main website, with service descriptions, fees and the lists of approved centers.
  • MOHRE eServices is where transactions are filed: new permits, renewals, contracts. You sign in with UAE PASS. MOHRE says services through its own website and app are free apart from federal fees.
  • inquiry.mohre.gov.ae is the read-only lookup. Nothing is filed there. It is the page to bookmark if you only want to check something.

There is no "labour card status"

The phrase everyone searches does not appear on the page. A labour card today is the electronic work permit. Use Electronic Work Permit Information to see it, or Application Status while the employer is still applying. Our labour card guide covers the permit fees by company category and how to print it.

Your residence visa is a separate record. MOHRE issues the permit, then GDRFA issues the Dubai residence. If MOHRE shows a valid permit but you want to know about the visa, use our visa status check guide.

Before you sign: the job offer and contract checks

Two enquiries protect you more than the others.

Job offer enquiry. A real offer goes through MOHRE before the permit. If your offer letter came by email from someone you have never met, look it up. An offer that MOHRE cannot find is a warning sign.

Attested employment contract. Once registered, your contract is on MOHRE's system. Check the salary, job title and dates against what you agreed. If they differ, raise it with the employer before your first salary, not after.

What a Tasheel center does for you

Tasheel is the old name people still use for MOHRE's business services and guidance centers. They are private companies approved by MOHRE to file its services for employers and workers. A center can:

  • look up the same records with you and explain what they mean
  • type and submit a permit, renewal, contract or cancellation
  • fix a rejected application, for example a wrong job title or missing document
  • print permits and contracts

MOHRE caps a business services center's commission at AED 72 per service. Federal fees come on top. Our Tasheel center list shows the Dubai centers with a published address, and the Tawjeeh center page covers the guidance side for workers.

When the lookup is not the answer

Some results mean you need to act, not just read:

  • Permit about to expire. The employer renews it with MOHRE, then the residence is renewed with GDRFA. See work permit renewal.
  • Leaving a job. The work permit is cancelled with MOHRE first, then the residence. Our visa cancellation page has the GDRFA side.
  • Hiring a maid or nanny. Domestic workers sit on a separate MOHRE route with its own income rule. See the maid visa guide.

If an enquiry shows nothing at all, check the number first. A transaction number and an establishment number look alike but open different records. Ask the employer, or the center that filed the application, which number belongs to which enquiry.

How to use the MOHRE enquiry page

  1. Open inquiry.mohre.gov.ae

The page lists all 32 public enquiries. You do not need to log in to look things up.

  2. Pick the enquiry that matches your question

Application Status for something in progress, Electronic Work Permit Information for an issued permit, the job offer or contract enquiry for paperwork.

  3. Enter the reference number

Use the number from your MOHRE paperwork, such as a transaction number or establishment number, exactly as printed.

  4. Save or print the result

Keep a copy if you need it for a bank, a new employer or a Tasheel center.

Questions people ask

What is MOHRE enquiry?

It is the public lookup page of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation at inquiry.mohre.gov.ae. It lists 32 enquiries covering work permits, job offers, contracts, company records, insurance and domestic workers. You pick one and enter the reference number it asks for.

How do I check my labour card on MOHRE?

There is no enquiry called labour card status. Choose Electronic Work Permit Information to see the permit itself, or Application Status if your employer has only just applied. Print Electronic Work Permit gives you a copy.

Can I see my employment contract on the MOHRE website?

Yes. One of the enquiries shows the attested employment contract registered with MOHRE. Compare it with the offer you signed: salary, job title and contract dates should match.

Is MOHRE eServices free?

The enquiries are free. MOHRE also says its services are free through its own website and app apart from federal fees. A business services center may charge a commission, capped at AED 72 per service.

Do I need UAE PASS for MOHRE?

Not for the public enquiries. To submit a transaction such as a work permit application online, MOHRE asks you to sign in with UAE PASS.

Is MOHRE enquiry the same as a GDRFA visa check?

No. MOHRE holds the work permit and contract. The residence visa sits with GDRFA for Dubai visas, or ICP for the other emirates, and is checked on their pages.

Permit expiring, or moving jobs?

A renewal or transfer has to clear MOHRE before GDRFA. See how the work permit side is handled.
